August 1, 2020: Safety railing on Jordan Road
For many years, long before railings were vandalised during last year'
s protests, I have been concerned about
the lack of a safety railing between a large section of the footpath and the
traffic lanes of Jordan Road just near Exit A of Jordan MTR station. At busy
times, the footpath has been so full that people have stepped onto the road and
have been in danger of being hit by traffic. Or, even if they have stayed on the
edge of the footpath, traffic has been almost touching them. Over the years I
have asked various government departments/representatives to install a safety
railing in the missing section.
This past week the railing was installed .... thanks to the lobbying of our
local district councillor Frank
Ho (who has also supported the gathering for the poor at Yau Ma Tei
on Sunday afternoon).

THANK YOU JESUS!
