21-11-1941 Letter from Palestine (2 pages)

Mother Mine, I received your letter today and your hamper from McWhirters. I also landed your lovely big cake a few days ago. Mumsie, it was a Corker.
My mates and I had two goes at it, and everyone of them - all good lads too, told me to give you their thanks. They call you the Section Mother. That means you have eight more soldiers boys to love
you. I am so proud to have a mother like you, old Darling. My mail is coming like one thing now, since coming to Palestine.
