01 (2009-10-08): The article mentions that classical poetry often rhymes in Cantonese where it doesn't in Mandarin, but actually the Hakka (Hak Ga, Ke Jia) language is even better for classical poetry. The Hakka people  fled northern China during the Tang Dynasty and have preserved the language of the time to a much greater degree than other languages
